SSCCS is The Sir Sydney Camm Commemorative Society
Aims of the Society:
To promote and commemorate the life and achievements of Sir Sydney Camm, Britain's foremost Aeronautical Engineer and Designer, whose long and lasting achievements ranged from 1930's combat biplanes, through the Hurricane and its successors of World War II, to his vision for the Harrier Jump Jet.
Objectives of the Society:
To encourage and assist young people towards Careers in Aeronautical Engineering
Society Activities:
SSCCS has established a University Award, administered by the Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers of London, for Aeronautical Engineering students at University. The Society also aimed to erect a replica of a Hawker Hurricane, Sydney Camm’s most famous design, at a prominent site in Windsor.

SSCCS History
SSCCS was started by Flt Lt Stuart Leigh-Davies when Commanding Officer of 459(Windsor) Squadron Air Training Corps and Steve Laing, the squadron's Civilian Committee chairman.
